Pollen Patrol Summer STEM Camp Was a Buzzing Success! 🐝🌸

This summer, more than 30 students in grades 1–5 from six different schools joined the Holy Gears for three days of bee-themed robotics and STEM fun!

Our Pollen Patrol campers used FIRST LEGO League kits to take on new robot missions each day, learning how to design, test, problem-solve, and work as a team. Between missions, the fun kept buzzing with hands-on engineering challenges inspired by the incredible work of bees.

Campers created balloon transporters to deliver “pollen” back to their hives, built tiny Buzz Bots from toothbrushes, designed bees to carry pollen to flowers, and even made tools to recreate the buzzing sound bees make in flight.

It was wonderful to see so many young students get excited about building, creating, asking questions, and trying again when something did not work the first time. We loved sharing the world of robotics with this amazing group of future innovators!
