Holy Gears Flip Into Service 🥞⚙️
This weekend, the Holy Gears stepped away from the robot shop and into the parish hall to team up with the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast in support of World Mission Sunday.
Now, the Knights didn’t let us near the griddles (probably a wise choice 😉), but our team had an important mission of our own: serving beverages, stocking condiments, clearing tables, and making sure every guest felt welcome.
For our students, it was a chance to see that teamwork doesn’t just happen around robots. It happens when you refill a coffee cup, carry a tray, or take a moment to smile at someone across the table. Every act of service adds up — and that’s what World Mission Sunday is all about.
We’re proud that the Holy Gears can bring their energy and teamwork outside of competitions, showing that service and STEM go hand-in-hand. Big thank you to the Knights of Columbus for letting us join in on the mission (and for protecting the pancakes from us 😅).
