Holy Gears Launch Party: Kicking Off the 2025 FTC Season!

The countdown is over — it’s time to launch! On Saturday, September 6th, the Holy Gears kicked off the new FIRST Tech Challenge 2025 season with an epic Launch Party at All Saints Catholic School.

🚀 Game Reveal, Live at Noon

The highlight of the day? The worldwide FIRST Tech Challenge Game Reveal, streamed live at noon. For the next 90 days, teams around the globe will be building, coding, and competing to solve this year’s challenge — and our Holy Gears are ready.

⚙️ Who Are the Holy Gears?

We’re a middle school robotics team based in Alpena, Michigan — a group of innovators, builders, dreamers, and doers. And as the only 1st–8th grade STEM program within 50 miles, we’re proud to show what kids can accomplish when they’re given the tools, mentorship, and opportunity.

🍕 Fueling Up Together

Our Launch Party wasn’t just about robots — it was about community. Families came together to share pizza, snacks, and excitement as we watched the game reveal, brainstormed strategy, and celebrated the start of our most ambitious season yet.

🌟 The Season Ahead

With only 90 days to design, build, and program our competition robot, the challenge is on. But that’s what makes FTC so incredible — it pushes students to problem-solve, collaborate, and dream big.

This year, we’re not just competing. We’re representing Alpena, showing what small-town students can do when given big opportunities.

The rocket has launched. The gears are turning. The Holy Gears are officially on their way into the 2025 robotics season.

Stay tuned here on our blog for mission updates, competition highlights, and behind-the-scenes looks as we build toward the challenge.
