Holy Gears Earn 1st Place REACH Award at the Michigan FTC State Championship
The Holy Gears had an unforgettable experience at the Michigan FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship, where we were honored to receive the 1st Place REACH Award!
The REACH Award recognizes teams that make a meaningful impact beyond building a robot. It celebrates teams that actively grow STEM in their communities through outreach, mentorship, and service.
Throughout the season, our team worked to inspire future engineers and problem-solvers by:
Hosting robotics demonstrations for the community
Mentoring younger students interested in STEM
Sharing FIRST with local schools and organizations
Building lasting relationships with our sponsors and supporters
Encouraging students to discover that anyone can succeed in robotics with hard work and teamwork
Receiving the 1st Place REACH Award was a tremendous honor because it recognized something we believe is at the heart of Holy Gears: our mission isn’t just to build robots—it’s to build people.
